Subject	Engine oil for a built motor?

Message	Hey guys, I almost have over 1,000 miles on my new built motor and was wondering what you guys run for oil. I'm on my second oil change of Valvoline VR1 straight 30 weight, but I want to switch over the synthetic. I was previously running Royal Purple HPS 20w-50 but my engine builder recommend that I don't use anything heavier than 15w-40. Just looking for suggestions. If it matters the motor has JE 9:1 87.5mm pistons, eagle rods, and clevite bearings. Thanks Tomas
